Mount Morello - Sesto Fiorentino 24k - 1590D + November 1, 2017 Race in its first edition in the mountain overlooking Florence and the whole plain which stretches up to Prato. hard path with two technical descents that could become treacherous in bad weather. The Skytrail is a specialty skyrunning regolametata from Fisky Italian Federation Skyrunning founded in 2001. Although the Monte Morello does not reach high altitudes it has a shape that is perfectly suited for the practice of Skytrail. The Monte Morello Skytrail is accessible to everyone as it plays intermante in CAI paths with maximum diccoltà E (escrursionistico). The route is divided into two parts the first fast and fairly level but always on singletrack, in the second part we reach the three points with the maximum altitude of 934m on Poggio Hague, the greatest difficulties are the two descents techniques in case of wet weather can get very tricky. Monte Morello is predominantly made up of limestone rocks. Probably it born about 70 million years ago as a submarine training. About 12 million years ago it has finally emerged, taking about a million years before the present form. The mountain was declared a Territorial Park.
